Ferry
There are several ways to reach Spetses Island, depending on what best suits your needs. Here, you’ll find all the information you need to arrive on the island or depart from it.
The easiest way to reach Spetses if you’re arriving in Greece by plane is to take the metro to Piraeus port and then board a passenger ferry to the island. Three companies operate this route, with ticket prices ranging from 50 to 60 Euros per person.

Taxi
You can also book a taxi to drive you directly to Spetses. Taxis can pick you up from the airport and take you to Kosta Port, which is located across from Spetses. From Kosta, you can take a Sea Taxi or another vessel that connects to Spetses.
The cost is typically around 250-300 Euros, and taxis can accommodate up to 4 people. If you have a lot of luggage, it’s best to confirm with the driver beforehand.

Minivan
The minivan can accommodate up to 8 people. It’s recommended to contact the driver in advance to confirm the fare.

Bus
You can also take the bus, which offers daily routes to and from Spetses. The trip lasts about three and a half hours, with a cost typically ranging from 20 to 25 Euros per person.
The bus departs from Kifissos in Athens, and you can book your tickets online. If you are departing from Spetses you can visit Alasia Travel and book your ticket there.
The route you should book is from Athens to Kosta.
Driving to Spetses
You can drive to Spetses, with the trip from Athens taking approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you reach Kosta Port, you’ll need to park your car and take a sea taxi or ferry to cross over to the island. This option offers greater flexibility.
